ATI RADEON 9200 SE Graphic Bugs

Hi,
some HL2 textures seem not to be working properly, is this a known problem? Is there any solution? I've allready installed the newest catalyst HL2 drivers but things won't change.
Can anyone analyize this problem?

I'd really like to play this game without graphic bugs.
Will I have to buy a new graphics card? Or is my HL2 broken?

Yep! Same here! I downloaded HL2 from steampowered.com and have the same problem from the very beginning!

I have an ATI 9600xt, 1.53 Athlon, 1g of ddr ram, but not too much hd space - 5g's.

Everywhere I turn I get the bright off-colored textures all over the ground, walls, and even some of the characters!!

What is going on? Should I download it to my hard drive? I got the ATI coupon offer where I got it for free, but I have to wait almost 2 months to get a copy mailed to me. I can't download yet, because I have to wait for an email from ATI with directions on how to do it!

I can't believe that from the moment this game was released I still can't play the damn thing!

Any reason why this is happening?

I got rid of the second bug by reinstalling the game, but the first one remains.
