For the longest time 9800 Pro cards sat around $500, and yes it looks like they have just dropped about $100. I'm not sure why the price was lower in the States, especially sinse ATi is a Canadian company.
Sucks that the AIW cards didn't really drop that much. That's the card I was gonna get. Before there was only about a $10 premium over the non-AIW $9800.

i saw stock ATI 9800 pros at compusa for $299.99 several months ago.....

Yeah, I've seen some good retail prices too.. just have to shop at the right stores. Ever looked at say, Wal-Mart? I love how they sell GeForce FX 5200s for $145.. just goes to show you what they can force feed the average consumer by way of using words such as "Screaming fast" lolSimilar threads
