Hey guys.
Ive been having problems in HL2 Episode One with my graphics card.
Ive had this problem with HL2 core but with less of a frequency.
I'll load up the game and get in fine but while im playing the visuals will freeze and the sound will repete the most recent 1/2 second of audio. Ive had a pluthera of outcomes once this happends. Sometimes my computer will just restart, sometimes it will crash HL2 with an error message from ATI, and sometimes there will be absolutly no feed from the graphics port causing my moniter to behave like the computer is sleeping.
Im going to read off my specs as best as I can remember them.
Computer: AOpen EZ1665 (I think)
Processor: 2.8 ghz P4 Single Core processor
Ram: 2gb
Graphics: ATI X800 XL, AGP edition with the newest drivers (updated last night)
As I mentioned above, I have updated the drivers for my card very recently.
As this problem starts, in order to prevent a manditory restart of my computer I need to mash the ALT-Tab feature and the Windows key in order to get out of HL2 to the desktop before the graphics feed just well.. stops.
This problem occures in HL2 with very minimal frequency and HL2 Episode one every 5 or 10 minutes, making the game relitivly unplayable =(
The only other game that this occures on is World of Warcraft but only on the character selection screen if I leave the computer running on that screen for a long time.
