So a few weeks ago I bought this book, and am now 600 pages into it. I truly love this book, it's very well written, and all the characters are extremely interesting.

Discuss what? You've given us no info on the book.

I'm interested in reading it. I'll get it eventually.

I'm going to force myself to read it pretty soon. I feel like such an ass when I go around criticising the themes that Ayn Rand presents without having actually read her work. Yes. I am one of those people.

Actually I think there's a copy downstairs. I'll go take it. And I'll read that mother****er. I will read it.

I'm that person as well. Passionately hate Ayn Rand without having read her. Hey, I do have my reasons.

I've read Atlas Shrugged and Anthem and I have the Fountainhead on my bookshelf waiting for me. I despise Ayn Rand and objectivism with all of my heart, mind, and soul. Atlas Shrugged in particular is thinly veiled individualistic propaganda. Anthem is too, but I enjoyed it a lot more.

I'm on page 300 right now. It's alright.

I've been trying to understand the basic sypnopsis, not quite working. Is it possible for a basic outline please?

I'm one of those people too, but I worked in a bookstore for a long time, so I have the excuse of having to interact with Randians all the time. (Hint: they're usually on the wrong side of crazy)

Fixed. As far as I'm concerned they're crazy merely by the fact that they follow the "philosophy" they ascribe to.
