Okay, it seems to me like this should be self-explanatory, but apparently it isn't, so I'm going to make this clear.

RUNNING AROUND LIGHTING SHIT ON FIRE IS NOT ALLOWED.

I absolutely rage when I find a random area that looks like this:

It is NOT OKAY to just go apeshit like a 12 year old with matches lighting trees on fire. It's ugly as **** and it's a waste of wood. The ONLY situation in which it is acceptable to burn down trees is to get rid of leaves after you have already harvested the tree trunk. People lighting fires for no reason will get one warning and then be permanently removed from the whitelist as it is considered a mild form of griefing.

(Desmon, I think this might have been you in this case, and I warned you earlier yesterday about lighting trees on fire so please don't do this again!)

I stopped doing that a long time ago. Besides not to be annoying but I've seen just about everyone doing it.

I've only ever set fires in a controlled environment. In caves and in my house and once I burned away some floating leaves but I made sure there were no other trees within danger before I did so.

I do use this to remove leaves after harvesting a tree, but always tidy up. I'm sick of finding floating logs on fire too!

It's fine to burn trees on your property or to clean up after harvest - but it's not fine to just run around the wilderness lighting trees on fire and leaving ugly infinitely burning tree blocks in your wake.

If you ignite trees and leave burning chunks hanging behind... you are responsible for cleaning that shit up.

Yes, it's a big nuisance.

Don't make us have to remove fire.


If you've done this in an area that you can remember and think your ugliness might still be there... go there and clean it up.

While we're at it,

NO:

Harvest the rest of the tree, you lazy ****s. All it takes is a few dirt blocks to climb your way up there, take out all the wood and just let the leaves vanish on their own (provided they're not touching anything else... surely this is common knowledge by now?). Don't like it? Then don't take wood from the big trees, numbnuts.

NO:

Quit harvesting sand directly next to water. Yes, we know you need 200 stacks of glass for your super amazing cross-continental tunnel/bridge/skybridge or whatever, but there are other places you can get this shit. Namely: not directly next to spawn.

And don't even get me started on fixing water currents. You have any idea how tedious that shit is? Christ, I feel like the server's groundskeeper lately. *grumble*

Someone's been doing the fire thing next to Warped's place. Yesterday I went around to like six different spots with floating logs on fire cleaning it up since I could see it from my place.
