Audigy 2 Platinum Question

I'm looking into buying an Audigy 2 Platinum (with the 5.25" bay), to help digitally re-record some records, and i was just wondering, does that bay connect internally to the Audigy 2 sound card, or is it an IDE drive? (because i already have all 4 of my IDE's filled up).

As far as I know, it connects to the audio card with a ribbon cable.
