Can someone tell me the difference from audigy2 zs and audigy2 value ?
i am gona use it with 5.1 Medusa so is audigy2 zs worth the extra money ?

Thanx in advance.

ZS supports EAX 3/4.
They're pretty similar though, and not many games have beyond EAX 2.
My ZS is great, so your Value will probablly be just as good, and will work fine with your headset.

I'd say that either would be fine. I have used both (the ZS in my own pc and the value one in the family pc) and the only difference I can really remember is that the drivers are different and the jacks on the backplate of the card are plastic instead of gold (plated??).

only real difference is THX certification and missing firewire port + gameport, i dont need eny bits :) for movies i use my trusty Yamaha 440 6.1 reciver.
I use a digital home reciver too, and with Power DVD i get DolbyDigital, but you have to use a couple of adapters for the digital output.

Double check with review sites if the audigy2 cards support more than 2.1 with digital outputs for directsound. I remember reading something that the only card that supports 5.1 with digital was the Soundstorm on Nvidia motherboards. It does dolbydigital though (movies). And if you plan to use the standard analog ports then you are set no matter what.
