I am currently writing my paper on "How Dynamic Audio can increase the immersive qualities in games"

I am doing a little survey on what people thing towards audio and music in games. woundering if you guys wouldn't mind taking 5mins to fill out this survey.

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/D3JWWC5

Thank You.

If you guys have any views on dynamic audio feel free to talk here.

Interesting topic. There were a few grammatical mistakes in the survey, but nothing bothersome. You should probably fix those, though, if this is a legitimate survey for a class.
Also, in response to number 7, I don't just listen to music according to what mood I'm in, music can affect my emotional state as well.

Done. And yes, please fix the grammar...question one looks like a monkey was having an orgasm on your keyboard.

Thank You for response's. Ye i need to update it, been working 8hours straight and just needed to pop out a survey will update and correct when I get abit of spare time.

My paper is looking into games like I made a game with zombies, left 4 dead and how the director controls the music. Also the Psychology of Audio how you can create the emotional state you want the player to be in with the audio.

I'm mainly looking into dynamic audio so audio that reacts to the player so music is less linear and how to incorporate game mechanics into dynamic music so the linking of synchronicity of the audio to a QuickTime events.

Just looking how in involve more audio in games so that the player can have a more immersive experience.

lol'd hard.

I started taking the survey but felt it was kind of stupid :/ No offense.

Took it.

Have you done any research into all that stuff I told you about last year?

Oblivion has music that changes depending on if you are in battle or not. I don't care for that technique because I might have no idea some enemy is closing in behind me.

I know right away there must be an enemy a half mile away because I hear fight music. It's a spoiler, so I turned it off.

The music should have come on once you have contact and are engaged.

Super Mario Bros. has music that gets faster when time runs low. Not sure I like music that speeds up either.

Your question subjects are too nested, so to speak. Question 2 asks me if I've played one of Rez, L4D, Zelda, and Mario. But question 3 asks me - if I answered yes to 2 - what my reactions to all these different games were, but I can only give one answer. I personally thought L4D had bad sound design, have never played Rez, and thought Zelda/Mario had great sound design. So... I can't really answer this question.

I helped.

Seemed really directed toward building upon your premise, but that's cool... it'll be easier to work with at least...

All questions should be "Is Rez awesome?" and if you pick anything other than yes (which should be impossible since every answer should be yes) a S.W.A.T. team will bust up in your house and beat the shit out of you.

The reason for being so nested is becasue these are the games under review so by making you aware of these game and see if you have played these games and if so "Did the audio help with a sense of immersion towards the game?" I would only like my data to be represented by the games in review.

Ren i've used finished my review on the doppler effect and just finishing trying to implement it into torque.

Thank You Guys for you help :)
