I've got a Hercules Game Theater XP, which is an external soundcard
It has a crap-load of connections. Including the headphone jack, mic jack on the front.
Then on the back it has a few different connections for surround sound. Including two 1/8" stereo outputs for the front and the rear(surround) sound. And 6 RCA outputs for all connections.
I've normally had my headphones plugged into the front headphone jack, and my speakers into the rear stereo jacks. I've had no problems, and nothing but excellent sound.
I just got my Zalman 5.1 headphones. Now of course to get surround sound, I've gotta hook them up to where the speakers would normally hook up. So now, I'm getting interference, some background noise, from the computer. Its almost as if the headphones are getting too much signal, or are just not designed to filter out the noise from the computer.
And I've had to crank the volume levels way down, especially in winamp.
Anyone know if theres a way to get rid of the noise atleast?
