Audiosurf is now available on Steam for just $9.95, the Steam version of Audiosurf includes The Orange Box soundtrack, integrated with the game to enable "Still Alive" surfing and more. You can purchase the game from here or you can try the demo version first here.[br]
Audiosurf is one of the first titles to leverage the recently announced Steamworks, offering full support for the Steam Achievements that appear on Steam Community profile pages.[br]
In related news, the Steamworks information page has also been updated, you can find more info about Steamworks here.

Don't try the demo. If you have songs on your computer that you like to listen to, then you won't be able to not buy it after using up your free 3 runs.

I've been playing with over 30 tracks in my albums folder tonight, it's such good fun, I really enjoyed it.

It's strangley addictive and the variety in game modes is vast too. I'm particularly impressed with the competition online where you can see how you scored compared to other people who used that particular song. For example I was top scorer for "Sleep now in the fire" by RATM, but I've returned now to find in my inbox I've been dethrowned and I must win back my title.

Such a basic system which adds so much depth. Really impressed.

Quick Question: Does the online score sheet thing rely on your MP3 file's IDwhatever tags to link them?

IMO it's Ridge Racer with WMP visuals. Looking for a crack...

It works like fun. That is how.

Basically, it transforms your own songs into lengthy rides where you have to grab like colour blocks and you get points for it, etc. It is very, very fun.

Using your own songs makes it one of the greatest casual games I've ever played.

At the moment, however, there are a decent amount of bugs, but I checked the Steam Forums, and A LOT of them are being addressed as we speak.

Just buy it. Easiest way. Connect with other people and compare over the scoresheet merhaps.

Yeah, that's making it really hard to play. I've had to restart the game 5 times in the first 30 minutes of playing :(

It says that I have to install some Quest Viewer 3D. Even after that I'm still getting an error msg and can't get into the demo...

Edit: Nvm, had to restart STEAM.

Would one of those bugs happen to be buying the game but only getting the demo? I've gotten the demo, bought it, and it won't update the game to the full version. I deleted all local content, re-downloaded it from my list of purhcased games, and it's STILL the demo. None too thrilled here. :upstare:

I played the demo, and I just can't find myself joining in the overall hypeness. It's fun for five minutes, but then, I rather sing along to my music than play along it. But still, for breaks, it's a neat little game.

Well, one thing I noticed to fix a lot of the bugs....

Turn your graphix settings to Normal, no AA, and everything else low other than the Res...that can be normal. That fixed most of my shit.

Interesting fact: play beat-heavy songs for long enough, and you will start to notice your own "headbob" a lot more.

I tend to treat it like a music visualiser - whenever I get new songs, straight into Audiosurf (it will) go!

Happened to me. Just restart steam, that seemed to work in my case.

I actually really like this. Its interesting to see your songs turned into tracks and how the intensity of the song really does make the gameplay more intense. Worth 10 bucks I think.

Do we know if they have fixed the cursor dissapearing after a song is beaten?

Just tried the demo and I really enjoyed it :)

I'll need to get this from steam :D

I tried the beta a few weeks ago, the novelty does wear off quickly. It's a neat concept but it doesn't hold my interest for very long.

I think it helps if you think of it as a puzzle game first, and a "racing" game second.

I just bought this, and it's downloading now. Does it come with the Orange Box Soundtrack only if you preorder it?

Actually, I think it's Steam Community. If you go into it, beat a song, your cursor is gone. Alt tabbing out and back in fixes that problem.

Wow, I'm really impressed. This is a cool game.
It has it's share of problems, though, which kind of sucks.
- When I alt-tab from full screen, the track disappears when I get back in.
- For the first couple hours I was playing, I couldn't access the scoreboards or create an account.
- Sometimes the notes aren't spot-on time.

While technically not a bug, I wish that in Mono, you would be required to hit the more "major" beats; but that's more of human opinion and I don't think the computer could analyze a song to that extent.

Overall, though, I really like it and I'm addicted. Playing Last Legs from Episode 2 is a great, adrenaline pumping experience.
Not only is it small in download size, but it's also small in price. ;) I'd recommend it.

Given how little it costs, I think it's a must-buy.

Steam refuses my credit card :(

I want this so bad, the demo was awesome

Any different from the beta weekend?

Great game, bought it tehe second the pre-load was available, mostly cos it was so cheap and seemed a change...

But its fun and is great to play through the orange box soundtrack.

I need to get the full version. This is really cheap so a definite must-buy. But I'm not actually sure when I'll be able to do it.

Vortal Combat FTW!

Yeah, and we shouldn't have to alt tab out and back in to get it there again.

It just disappears at random too. It's about the only complaint I have about this game. It's so much fun. And very addictive. It's one of those 'one more turn' kinda games.

I’ll just wait a year till its half price (OMG super cheap!), the concept is very cool but I cant say the gameplay is the best I’ve seen... gets boring fast I think.

Many thanks to AciD who gifted me AudioSurf temporarily while PayPal finishes setting up my account.

It is indeed a great, fun and enticing game. Possibly one of the best casual games around.
