Ok 2 male housemates were evicted from Big Brother in Australia for sexual assault.

This is what happened.

At approximately 4.30am Saturday morning Ashley and John jumped onto Camilla's bed. John held down Camilla while Ashley knelt over her, apparently slapping her in the face with his penis. At one stage John was holding Camilla down by her head. The incident went to air over the internet streams and several users recorded screen captures which are now circulating the internet. At the time Camilla was quoted as saying "thats not cool".

Conservative senators and politicians successfully campaigned to have the Adults only version removed from TV (boobies are bad!) and now they've put enough pressure on the producers to cancel the show completely. I hate HATE the fact this country is going down such a conservative path where tits and nipples are to be banned at all costs. The concept of "Don't watch it if you're offended" is alien to certain people. They insist on watching things that offend them so they can complain. This attitude extends to computer games as well except it's also violence that gets banned.

The issue of the sexual assault is tricky. I haven't seen the footage but these people have been in the house for over a month they know eachother pretty well, they're good friends, always chatting talking etc. Is it sexual assault or just mucking around? A bit of bad behaviour considering the friendship? Either way, it's most likely going to the police and the victim will have to leave the house to make a statement.

Anyone have any opinions? Is it rape? Are you a fan of big brother? Do nipples make you scream in terror?
 
D: That was always the fear with programs like big brother. No real control over stuff like that.
 
I hate Big Brother. Load of wanky toss.

Voyeuristic trash. They delibrately up the ante each series to try and get the housemates to fuck or whatever.
 
lol, one of the guys on the american big brother got evicted for threatening someone with a kitchen knife.

I rushed to watch it at first becuase I had no idea what it would be about (I was under the impression that it would be some reality show where the people are opressed by an orwellian dictator)...but then it just turned out to be really lame.
 
Are you surprised? The adult show was taken off because all it was, was a 2 and a half hour orgy with advertising halfway through.

Did I forget to mention the auditon tapes? Half of them are just people standing infront of the camera naked begging to be put on TV, the other half are just people saying "I lyke to manipoolate lolz" :x
 
BB producers got pwnt. They thoroughly deserve to get bitten in the arse by trying to force juicier and juicier TV by chucking increasingly slutty/insane people into the house, then they can't handle it when something controversial actually happens. I don't know about anywhere else but the conversation in BB UK gets muted every time the housemates talk about pretty much anyone else on the planet - OH NOES LAWSUITS. Utterly lame.

As for sexual assault, I dunno. Worse probably happens all the time in student accommodation all around the country but the difference is that doesn't get aired nationwide. I still place the blame mainly on the producers of the show rather than any of the housemates though. The people in the house are probably out of their minds with cabin fever, although I'm loathe to sympathise with the type of vacuous arseholes that usually appear on BB. The producers on the other hand want inflammatory, edgy, addictive TV with 'real life people' - except they chuck in people too stupid and loud to ever possibly on with one another, and then they're not allowed to actually do any real life things like be extremely offensive or break the law. Screw it, trash TV and I'm glad it's banned, although it does suck about Australia slipping more and more into conservatism.
 
Big Brother itself isn't banned, the people just got kicked out. Banning Big Brother would be like banning 15357 from fighting North Korea. It'll never happen.
 
I thought the OP said they put enough pressure on the producers to cancel the show? Damn, so it's not banned ;(
 
Its a ****ing farce.. the first one was really good but that was because they had normal people and people saw it more as an experiment than the freak show the producers decided to turn it into.

Anyway, it sounds like to me that its a reality show :x that has people going naked and having sex? What? I don't think I understand correctly.
 
Its a pretty stupid show, as far as I can tell, the contestants are pretty stupid people- so they are all equally responsible for any stupid acts that occur.

Does anyone have a link to the actual footage?
 
Quick explanation - Big Brother - They lock up people in a single house, for a couple of months, and vote one person out every once in a while. Cameras are all around the house, and it is broadcast on TV. Any sexual stuff that happens is put on Big Brother Uncut, which is now canceled. There was once quite a BB empire going on, but now it's sort of sad and ignored.
 
The only thing that BB does is ensure that for 3 months of the year there is NOTHING on TV. This is becuase nearly all of channel 4 (and associated "4" channels) are almost entirely devoted to BB coverage in one form or another and all the other channels assume that everyone will be watching BB and so put absolute crap on.
 
lol your guys' networks still in their reality tv show phase?

It mostly passed here, its still around but in more decent forms: for example: like shows where families remodel their home and they document all the steps, etc. Shows you can actually take things from and be productive with.
 
So, link the footage. Never pass up a chance to see a good cockslap.

I find it ironic that only now they're cancelling it when last year two housemates rubbed their dicks in another housemate's hair and told her it was their hands, on TV. Something like that. I wasn't paying attention at the time.

Really? That's pretty bad. I don't think Big Brother is even on in the US anymore, I haven't see a trace of it in years. America seems to be outgrowing "trash reality TV", most networks have little to none of it, with the exception of "trash reality networks" like MTV which were once music but now are TV for slow teens. Of course most of our normal TV shows suck too, especially since producers discovered there was an audience for soap operas about spoiled rich kids.

Oh god, how I wish it went away. I also saw the footage, and not to mention the fact that Camilla (The victim) was given the task of kissing everyone in the house. Dosen't that count as sexual assualt? force-kissing?
 
Girl doing it to a guy, no problem. Guy to a girl, rape, assault, criminal charges, bad job resume!

Imagine the controversy if a girl boob slapped a guy in the face? Nobody would blink an eyelid except the guy getting slapped..with a smile of satisfaction.
 
And the overzealous soccer mums who must protect thier children from watching Big Brother Uplate at 3am (Which has been cancelled now)
