autosaves gone

my autosaves were deleted and i dont know why, but i was wondering if there was anyway to get them back or do i have to start playing from my last save which was like 5 hours before i stopped playing

If you have made no quicksaves and the autosaves are gone, then the quickest way to get back to the same point is:

1) Start a "new game" and choose the level you were on.

or

2) Use a map cheat code as this will allow you to start again from any of various game loading points in the middle of a level and much closer to where you were than option 1.

If you want to do 2, I can give you the map cheat code that will do that. It's easy to do. Just tell me where you got to.
