avatar help please!

hi,

im new to the forum and i got problems when i want to put my avatar. it says:the avatar must be in PNG,GIF,JPG format blablabllablabla

can some1 help me whit this?

i can only chose bmp

no this isn't normal. The default file format in Paint is .bmp, but you can choose .jpg or .jpeg if you hit the down arrow next to the file format thingy. Also make sure the avatar you're trying to use is no bigger than 50x50.
