Avatar Sizes

I searched for this and I can't find anything about avatar sizes that isn't the resolution of it. If I missed a thread like mine, close this one.

Is there any way mods can change the limited size from 29kb, to like 50kb-150kb? Or would that take to much space?

I tried that, but every single time I try it, it says it doesn't work.. Message I get is:

"Remote file uploads have been disabled."

....

Eh? You get that error when you try to use an image from another site?

Yes, I have avatars on my computer, then I upload to imageshack, I get the direct link to the image and it says that..
