COME ON WHERE DID ALL YOU AVATAR FANS GO

There was like a finale

Today

Jeeze guys I can't celebrate this without at least some HL2.net dudes in on the action

I saw a commercial for it, and I almost became interested in watching it, but then the commercial ended and I played video games.

I'm watching through season 3 at the moment, trying to catch up to it. I'm very much looking to forward to it, but i might not be able to check it out for a few days. Never thought a nickolodeon show would ever have me this hooked.

Let's hop M Night Shylamalan doesn't complete **** everything up when he makes the film.

Is the finale out as like 4 episodes in one? I'm hunting it down online now then (UK so wouldn't get to see it for ages otherwise).

FINALE WAS MOTEHR****ING EPIC

Like

Seriously

So epic

Where's Darksied, where's Riom, I NEED TO SHARE THE AWESOME

sam it's on torrents - look for Sozin's comet, or hit up digavatar.com or avatarchapters.org (I think)

Thanks, I managed to find episode 17 elsewhere but not the final 4 episodes.

Those are just Youtube quality links, but they'll serve until the right torrents are propagated correctly.

Whoops, thought this thread was going to be about the James Cameron movie.

I liked it. I had to watch the last few parts in even-worse video though since they went down on avatarchapters...

Could anyone clear this up for me? Don't click if you haven't seen it, obviously,

What exactly happened with Azula, Zuko and Katara? It skipped that little bit for me which is HORRIBLE, did Zuko dive in front of the lightning and redirect it at Azula while taking injuries himself?

For Sam.

Zuko dived in front of the lightning and was hurt badly. So katara fought Azula, she pretty much ran from her lightning attacks and found a stream of water under a grate and tricked Azula into walking over it. She froze both of them in Ice then Katara proceeded to chain her up in the water. Katara then healed Zuko and watched Azula froth on the floor. It's the last we of of Azula, not sure if shes in prison or dead.

Wow, I missed a bunch. Stupid youtube. Thanks.

Are they making any more? The arc is kinda over now but I think I remember hearing something about them doing more with the universe as a whole, possibly with different characters.

There is no season 4, but there is supposed to be 3 live action movies by M. Night Shyamalan.

I did read somewhere that they were going to make a couple hour specials, but I'm not sure.

Yeah thats what i heard too. Anyway, that finale was pretty much perfect. The only thing i wanted to see a bit more of was Uncle Iroh, but everything else was perfect.

It's a shame its come to an end. Other tv shows should learn from Avatar and end sooner instead of just dicking around for so long about nothing inparticular. It was great that it had a clear arc from the start until the end. That should be how you write tv shows.

What an awesome show. Never though i'd be that invested in a tv show aimed at 6-11 year olds.

I never really realised just how interesting Iroh was thanks almost entirely to Mako until he died. The new Iroh VA tries, but he really can't match it. : (

I don't think it was that, i think they must have wrote Iroh out of most of the season because of Mako dying.

Yeah. I really wanted to see more Iroh though.

I wouldn't mind a special or 2 on the old masters

Personally, id prefer if the main character grp in avatar were all older, and the theme itself was more matured.

But at its current state, it was fine, I saw the finale, it was good.

There was that, too. But you know what I mean.

The whole Azula thing was awesome.

OMG SPOILERS!

I only saw the second half of season four last night (Firebending Masters onwards minus Boiling Rock part 2) and here are my opinions on it:
The Firebending Masters
Wasn't a great episode IMO. Aang seems to forget that he's an earthbender for the entire episode (He could have easily escaped the sun stone room using earthbending) and the whole episode just felt...I'm not sure if this will make sense to anyone else but the best way I can think to describe it is "Ancient dead civilization is secretly alive LOL!" It was also pretty obvious to me that the masters were going to be dragons and then breath fire at Zuko and Aang.

The Boiling Rock
I only saw part one but it was a pretty good episode. It's just too bad that Suki didn't actually do much else for the rest of the series except **** Sokka.

The Southern Raiders
Good episode again. Nice to see they finally admit that that people are killed and not just "gone" or "taken away from me." Too bad this is the only damn time that Katara uses bloodbending (and against the wrong guy and all).

The Ember Island Players
Although it's funny in parts ("Did Jet just die?") this episode is just plain silly. I only wish the officer from Monty Python would have come along and said "Stop this, it's silly!" Because it was very silly indeed. Silly.

Soniz's Comet
It was ****ing awesome (very, very awesome) but not without it's faults. Jun's shirshu went from the boast of being able to smell a rat half a continent away to being able to smell anything anywhere in the world (except on the backs of giant turtlelions). Her bit just seemed really far-fectched (and we're talking about a show where people shoot fire from their feets and control rocks with their heads).

Although Azula going crazy did make sense it seemed, like many thing throughout this show, to be a bit rushed. They could have at least done a little foreshadowing in her brief appearance in The Southern Raiders. Also I'm amazed that she was able to use lightning in the state she was in. When she shot at Katara I was actually expecting her to accidentally kill herself.

Also disappointing how small a role the White Lotus played and that we learned nothing about Iroh's journey to the spirit world.
The reopening of Aang's wound releasing his energy flow (even though he clearly hadn't given up his emotional connection to Katara) was a little contrived.

I did love how the place where Aang makes his stand to Ozi is where Roku stands at the intro though. Speaking of the intro, who's the earthbender in it?

Last thing: Was it Azulon that started the hunting of dragons, or Sozin?

The earthbender was apparently the original design for Toph, but then they decided to change it to a little blind girl instead of a guy. I do think that guy looks suspiciously like The Boulder though.

I think she was able to use lightning was because she didn't have any internal conflicts. She just went crazy and wanted to kill Zuko. She wasn't confused, like Zuko was when he tried to make lightning.

How the hell can M. Night be entrusted with making a live action movie of this show?
It would need over the top special effects out the ass and M. Night doesn't do alot of CGI in his films.

Don't worry, it won't be canon when half way through the film it emerges that the ghost of Admiral Zhao has been secretly luring Aang into a trap to be killed by Ko the face stealler by possessing Sokka's body.

I do hope they make a few prequil, sequil or even sidequil specials. Especially about Iroh or Roku.

Also, I was rather disappointed that there was no sort of hint to the re-emergence of airbending which I was hoping for. It would be kind of ****ed up if Aang was indeed the last airbender.

Was the Boulder the one who joins up with Toph's earthbending teacher to track her down? If so I don't see much of a similarity.

Also, did anyone else think that the previous Water Tribe avatar looked a lot like Sokka and Katara's father? If they're decendants of an avatar then that just leaves Toph as the only one who isn't connected to a previous avatar somehow.

Crazy hybrid air-water bending kids.

Should I even watch this program/film/crap?

Remember the last thing I recommended you Minty-boy? Go watch this show from the start.

I watched this show all jumbled up. It took me a while to figure out Zhao was dead since I was watching season 1 and 2 episodes at the same time. I did watch season 3 in order though.

I guess I'll say that i did wait a long time for the finally and was excited when it came out. I got popcorn and everything.

I'm sad that no-one died. And what happened to Darkside?

Darkseid died a long, long time ago.

By the way, you need to watch the second part of The Boiling Rock. Even including Sozin's comet, it is possibly the best episode of Season 3.

Even better than the Avatar and the Firelord? D=

Heh. The Chase was the first episode I saw so then when I started watching season 1 I kept thinking "What happened to all the girls?"
