I recently downloaded a 400 meg game trailor(hl2) from an unknown site. I suspect the site had reencoded it to reduce file size. I have windows media player and media player classic with wmp9 codec plugin and FFDSHOW codec. When i start the video on any one of my players, the sound is ok but the video doesn't render. Any suggestions?

Use Videolan, it reads every movie file no matter what codec was used, you won't ever have a problem again. Trust me
