Avoiding Lag-plagued servers

Help a newbie here.

How can I avoid servers plagued with lag? Do I have to refer to Latency?

jus press the latency button when finding a room, and it organsises it from quickest to slowest *or slowest to quickest if u press agen*

Annoying newbie question.

How do I know which value represents the quickest & the slowest?

the lower the number the better it is for you

I go for servers around the 50 mark or anything under 100 if you're on dial up I think the limit would be around 200 before it starts to go bad.
