First off...

When it says "Criteria: Satisfactory", does that mean I only did the minimal in order to get the medal? Or does it simply mean it's a relatively easy medal to obtain, as only satisfactory performance is needed to get it?

I'm worried that I'm only getting the shitty medals

think it means relatively easy to obtain- i got a gold in a server, and it says 'excellent' next to it.

oh yeah? well I got a platnum in a server that says "YUO R TEH BEST!!!"

"satisfactory" in the military merely means accomplished (you can't get varying degrees, such as excellent. you either get satisfactory or unsatisfactory... however in BF2, unsatisfactory equates to no medal)
for instance it would be the description on things like basic medic awards, support, etc.

you can however get things like gold stars for excellence on the field.

Is it possible to get Excellent Anti-Tank awards, for example? Like, an upgraded version from basic?
