Awesome HL2 trailer!

Nice trailer, looked really proffesional, that could be the actual HL2 trailer, instead of that crappy gameplay one back in 2004.
 
I liked it. For some reason, got goosebumps near the end.
 
I'm not sure how I felt about that, it was well done I feel like it didn't portray the awesomeness of HL2 that well.

I believe it was called "Somewhere over teh internets" or something like that.

I thought it was done pretty well, but it didn't really show anything that has to dow ith the game other than random pieces of footage from Valve trailers. :/

Hello, my name is Samon, and I am a party pooper. I actually thought the trailer was very lame. It was cheesy, not very Half-life and way too overdone in most places. “The human spirit!” It just really failed to capture the essence of Half-life for me. But then I have never been too taken by Valve's trailers either – EP2's was pretty meh.

Sorry Samon, but the OP's trailer was way better. It was incredibly epic, but it could have used a bit more HL-ness.
Anyways, gave me chills. The view of the citadel in the begining was so... awesome.

Hell, the trailer even got me choked up at the end...

It made it epic in a lame way. In a really cheesy, overdone and flimsy way. You want to take this further Zombie, we will.

I though Opposing Force was an awesome addition to HL but not Blue Shift.
 
Before Hoppipola started I was thinking 'Yeah, very impressive fan trailer', then when Hoppipola started I got a few goosebumps and it became quite win!
 
OP's video was too dramatic, but Samon's video looked like more of a tech/environment showcase than an actual trailer.

What? That one plays the turd in the punch bowel too well... it'd be better at being the gay kid that everyone in the school hates. His classmates? other trailers. But being epic is for conformists, so he tries to be as rediculous as possible, and looks like a tw*t.

But really, that one wasn't too bad, but it really didn't look like a trailer.

HL2 is epic because of what it is, not because of over-wrought hollywood feel-good human spirit bullshit. I thought the OP trailer was fine... the choice of music, however, was not, and completely failed to capture the feel of HL2's dystopian world.

I thought the choice of music was fitting because he wasn't really trying to showcase HL2's dystopian world. I felt the point of the trailer was more about humanity fighting back against their oppressors for their freedom, so the uplifting Hoppipolla at the end was supposed to be inspirational, in a way. At least, that's what I thought.

Anyway, I saw this quite a while ago on GameTrailers and the guy actually has another version. The OP one is his second attempt and this is his first:

Not as good as his second one, but still pretty good for a first go, and way better than some others I've seen. /shudders
