awesome new Max Payne trailer...

I wonder if that's the style the beginning of the movie will open up with.

at least they are trying to keep in line with the games but mark wahlberg I don't think suits max payne really.

Oh God oh god oh god, if that's how it opens up I'll be so god damn thrilled.

Awesome trailer, nice to see that they're trying to stick close to the source material.

Good lord that actually looks really, really ****ing awesome.

I'm unbelievably impressed. :)

I'll be impressed when they cut that blasted Marlyn Manson song, and actually use the Max Payne theme...

Funny because I just bought Max Payne. It's even more epic than I ever realised. I knew it was good, just never how good. Tbh, I never knew what it was about.

Awesome as hell.

Errr.. Cool but a little corny. Guy doesn't do too good of a job with the voice acting there.

I expected much better after reading the responses in this thread.

Pretty damn stupid.

Close to the intro of the game, but with horrible voice acting and even worse screen acting.

Not to mention infinitely worse writing.

It does the job considering it's just an ad (if they open the movie with this I'll be surprised), but I wouldn't say it's convinced me of anything about the movie, good or bad.

Yeah the voice was a bit off.

But that aside, I think this can be a pretty good action movie on it's own.

So were the flying demon things in Max Payne 2? I've only played the original Max Payne.

No. But there were alot of dream sequences in both games, including a drug-induced nightmare, the mentioning of "fallen angels" and a drug called "Valkyr", after the winged angel-like deities in Norse mythology who carried fallen warrior heroes off to Valhall. Sooo... that's what those might be. Hopefully a dream sequence.

Still not excited. Didn't see anything particularly wrong with the acting (what little there was in it) but the story looks like it could well be cliched drivel, and there'll probably be a distinct lack of humour.

I don't remember much humor in Max Payne...

Well duh.

Games can be fun with mindless action and no humour. Films, generally not so much.

That was a very good intro, but the acting was a bit off, and the voice ain't as cool. Still looks like it will be the best game to film conversion yet though, so will definitely see it.

Marky Mark!

Could be good, wouldn't be surprised if they blow it though.

I'm feeling really meh about this whole movie, a shame since I loved the games. Walhberg's voice acting was especially atrocious in this trailer.

Don't you remember the part where Max finds his family brutally slain by V junkies?

I just made myself sad...

Or the part where you have to jump across inch thick lines in slow motion and low gravity where you can't actually see where you're going and everything's distorted and weird sounds and babies crying are coming from your speakers?

...

Ok this just heightened all expectations on this film. I want to play Max payne again, but I regret having to live with the mouse problems I had last time ._.

Oh god I hated those bits with a passion.
