Star Wars: Republic Commando



This game looks really cool, the trailer is pretty awesome I think. A shame there really isn't any PR with it yet, hope they follow through.

I just finished KotoR so I'm knida in this star wars mode lol.

looks decent but....can they make that blaster fire sound more annoying? i can envisage tonnes of those stupid typical alien wing typed things flying straight at you and all you hear is that dumb blaster fire. from the looks of it, republic commando is gonna be short of AI, but of course i'm just speculating...but....why does every single sci fi game have to have those type of aliens in it. ok i know those aliens were in the movie but hey, give us something new and something that isn't clichéd for huffs sake.

oooooo KOTOR was awesome. played it through twice now, on my third go. first time round i tried the light side. second time round i did everything bad and was evil incarnate. this time i'm just experimenting seeing what else i can unearth. it's not the most indepth rpg but it's still the best star wars game i've played.

Looks good... Although it was just a movie and not in game... (maybe a few secounds of it was?) I noticed that it comes on botg PC and XBOX, I hope it will be ported from PC to XBOX and not the other way around, cuz those kind of games usually sux.

Agreed! Halo for the PC is trash, and KOTOR goes slow on my 2 2.1 GHZ Multi processor system with 1 gig of ram and a Geforce 4 TI 4600. UTER CRAP!!!

Finally someone else that shares my anticipation! (but the trailer is kinda old, from middle of summer) I think the trailer is breathing a kind of "lost contact with last patrol" atmosphere, along with really cool broken-radio sounds..

Plus, it looked like some of the trailer was from in-game, the part where the commandos are in front, you can see what looks like a hud with a grid map and drop down menu of your squadmates. And after they notice their surrounded inside the room, you can see another hud type display as it reads all the contacts in your view like tiny pings. Pretty awesome if ya ask me.

The whole trailer is Pre-rendered and not ingame and has been confirmed as such...

Also Kotor runs really smoothly on my ti4600 and 1900+ at 1024x768 MAX details so i dont know what the problem is....

It's old.
I wish there was something new about Republic Commando.
