Babel -- new Brad Pitt movie

Can't wait. Great premise, and the director is a genius (See 21 Grams, you'll get what I mean).

Yeah I've had my eye on Babel for a while. It looks very interesting and well done. In stark contrast to 21 Grams for which all the emos and the indies essentially shit themselves, even though it wasn't really that good. It just tried too hard. I didn't see the message or the beauty in it - kind of how I feel about Requiem for a Dream. But yes, Babel looks fantastic.

1. Emos and Indies don't "shit themselves" over 21 Grams, what are you talking about? Counting me I know maybe three or four people who have even SEEN it, and they all loved it.

2. How do you NOT like Requiem for a Dream?

I wasn't that impressed with 21 Grams either, but Requiem for a Dream is an excellent movie.

Babel I'm quite excitied about.

I didn't like 21 Grams that much either - was ok. I did think Requiem was a great flick.

Out of wonder, what didn't you guys like about 21 Grams? I thought it was great...

It just didn't grab me. Infact, i'm finding it rather hard to remember the movie. That says it all really.

That's fair, it's a pretty niche flick. But yeah, I found it really gripping, and goddamn did it do a good job of depressing the crap out of me.

I remember Sean Penn being a highlight (he usually is) - portraying a character who knows that he may die at any second very well. The lady who lost her family (forget her name) was good and Del Toro was suprisngly decent as well. The movie didn't gel for me, though. It was certainly depressing.

Back on topic - i'll be keeping an eye out for Babel, looks good.

Naomi Watts was that lady. And yes, the acting was great.

Wasn't a fan of 21 grams or Requiem (liked the directing but not the overall movie - thought it was kind of pointless) but Babel does look good.

I saw this trailer a few months ago. Interesting premise. Language can bridge us together, but can also act as border.

The music in the beginning and end of that trailer is also in Phone Booth, I think.

While there's conversing about 21 Grams, I figure I'll throw this out there.

I'd totally **** Naomi Watts. And I don't mean sex. I mean I would **** her with the full force of rape, albet with consent. Back to back. Every orifice. I'd make her scream her brains out while nailing her with the full force of a dump truck ramming into her kooch.
