A security video camera has captured shocking footage of a train running over a baby in a pram.

CCTV footage obtained by the Herald Sun shows the pram rolling away from the babyâ??s mother, tipping onto the tracks and being hit by the train.

Witnesses fearing the worst were stunned when the six-month-boy was hauled from the tracks with little more than a bump on his head.

I seen it on tv. What a terrible mother.
 
They need to put a little hill on the edge of the platform or slant the platform the opposite way to keep anything from rolling onto the tracks.

which should make exiting a subway train for a person in a wheelchair rather interesting. hopefully there wont be any stairways in close proximity

What? A 3 second lapse of holding onto a stroller thats on flat ground hardly means shes a bad mother. Its an accident, and nobody was at fault.

I'm not necessarily suggesting the installation of an insurmountable object (though I would probably find that amusing), merely a slight inclination. I think if something is going to roll at all, it should be away from the tracks.
 
I cant even imagine the horror the mother felt, she's very lucky, and lucky she did not attempt to save it.

Because if it were myself I think I would have jumped in as a last attempt to throw the stroller back over.
 
i don't really think its the mothers fault. its not like she was chatting with some guy or something. actually looks like she was just plainly resting herself, because has anyone ever pushed a baby around in a stroller....its quite tiring sometimes. glad that this baby and that balloon boy are ok
 
I thought this was more impressive than the attempted baby murder by train, and liked the '**** me' at the end of his... er... journey. He clearly doesn't appreciate just how funny toppling invalids really are and should be forced to do it again while laughing like the rest of us.
 
this should be used as a ad for the company whot made the stroller
 
scary how easily that baby could have otherwise given the train a new coat of paint
 
The timing of that is just a bit odd. Makes me think the mother may have let it happen on purpose...I don't know.
