Backing Up Steam

I searched and cant find anything. Ok my internet died on me and we have to do a complete system restore on my computer to fix it. I got HL2 off steam so i need to know how to back it up and i cant find how.

Right click on the game you want to back up then click backup(ont he steam games menu)

or you can manually go into your steam folders, and save all your gcf files to a cd, either works

But dont worry, at the very worst youll just have to re download everything.
