Bad idea?

A site I made in HTML class is getting posted on the school website, it is a LAN party website. In one of the pictures I hid a link on my name, when you click the link it brings you to this picture. It is the school emblem, adapted a bit.

Do you take offense to that? Being half jewish. It is not meant in any way to relate my supporting of Hitler, just showing that the school is a lot like a Nazi regime.

nah not me, i got used to it long ago, it just turns into daily banter these days. Its funny, i know its not supportive. Just never something i'd go out my way to talk about if you get me! What would your school do if they saw that though and there was jewish senior staff!

I would probably get expelled, but by the time the site is up I will be out of school (almost) so I have nothing to worry about.

The problem is in relating things to him. Show his picture in history when actually describing Nazi Germany. People only have a problem with using his image when it isn't in a historical setting.

Funny if you ask me but I know the school wouldn't think so. ;(

Uhm, I don't know... I think there's some kind of restriction, but of course in history books, documentaries, papers/magazines and even TV (well, not the real Hitler, but acted) there is no censorship or so. The swastika is legally somewhat troublesome though...

I've never understood labels such as "half jewish". I can understand that, say, your dad was jewish and your mom was catholic...but saying you're "half jewish"...does that mean you practiced the Jewish Sabbath but still went to St. John's on Sunday?

Ah yeah... video games... RTCW was censored, yes. I think games and comics (saw some Mangas that had changed swastikas in it) are things that maybe are considered too dangerous with such things in 'em because mainly played/read by kids. But as I said, movies sometimes include lot's of nazi-emblemes and even portrait Hitler (maybe you heard of the movie 'The Downfall/Der Untergang' which portraits the last days in the Führerbunker, was nominated for an Oscar even) - well, we actually do have a strange media-control system...

BTW I used to draw shwasticas and stuff when I was a kid, then when I got older I started getting really offended and sensitive to anything like that , then when I got a little older I thought about how I used to do things like that when I was a kid, then realized it had nothing to do with the person wanting to kill anyone that wasn't white as paper, it was just rebelion

Actually,
You are jewish if your mother is jewish, but my dad is the one that is jewish, so I'm not.

But Im not practicing any religeon, I believe in god however, and convinced god rules.

Well... that's probably because 1) he came from a 'normal' and western society and all the cruel things happened in it and 2) he had to most drastic ways of killing all those millions.

Stalin killed his own country men and was in no way helping anyone but himself by doing that. Hitler (horrible as it is, ofcourse) made money off of death. IIRC Stalin killed around 3 times as many people as Hilter did. The primary difference is that Hilter targeted specific groups of people whereas Stalin pretty much killed anybody who even looked suspicous.
