Bad Performance On Most Games

Hi im always getting bad FPS on games like doom 3, Half-Life 2, Fear, Farcry.
I know i have a shit graphics card but c'mon surely it cant be that bad to get such crap FPS on the lowest reso.

My specs are:

Windows XP Home SP2
Intel Pentium 4, 3.60ghz with HT
1024ddr 400 (512x2)
320gb SATA hard drive
All in wonder ATi Radeon x600 PRO 256mb PCI-E
Jeantech 450w PSU

Im using the latest drivers for ATI (5.13)
Im also running the latest version of Direct X (DX 9.0c)

im currently running fear on 640 x 480
Computer = High
Graphics = Medium

Without overclocking i get an average of 25fps.
With overclocking my graphics card i get 45fps

Is there anyway i can get my FPS increased?

I'm afraid that actually sounds about right for fear. It murders even the best pc's...

Although i would imagine that graphics card should run HL2 for example at 1024, mixture of high and med settings just fine. What kind of fps do you get in CSS or HL2 ?

Well, F.E.A.R. is an incredibly computer-heavy game. And I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure your video card isn't up-to-par with your cpu. Finally, an extra gig of RAM would help greatly.

Default settings on CSS, stress test i get 64fps (average)

thats on everything high no AA no v-sync

1024x768
