Bad problem with CS:S

First off let me say that I love CS Source for the time I am able play it. Unfortunatly, the game has a nasty (and predictable) habit of locking up at some point during the second round of any game. In every game I've played so far, it has done this without fail. I have check the 'Support' page, which told me that CS Source automatically corrects settings that would cause crashes. Right. I don't want to step into the hell hole that is the Steam forums, so I wanted to know if any of you have heard of this problem and if so, any possible solutions.

My specs if you want to know:
Athlon64 3200
1 Gb Ram
FX 5950 Ultra 256Mb (Currently using 66.72 drivers, but have tried the 66.80's and the official 61.77's)
Windows XP Pro SP1
