it's out??? how much did it cost?

(I'm assuming you're American, thehunter)

I'm pretty confused about this, it seems that every American I've spoken to or have heard speaking about this is the same. Have you guys only just got BoB out on DVD, or are you just talking about the metal-cased version? The UK's had both out for a long time now, which is odd, frankly.

I watched the whole series on TV BBC Two or One, and that was Over a year ago. I am not sure if they released the series on special DVD set, Did they?

Luckily it's right next to me! So it has:

  • 80 Minute documentary "We Stand Alone Together; The Men of Easy Company" - Very interesting, Bill Guarnere is exactly as he is portrayed in the mini-series!
  • 30 Minute featurette "Behind the scenes: The Making of Band of Brothers"
  • Video Diaries
  • Biographies etc. of the men of Easy Company
  • Footage of the premiere in Normandy
Other minor stuff, but that's the majority of it. Awesome.

Edit: Just noticed it has "As seen on the BBC" on the top of the boxset, that's probably why we had it out alot earlier. Maybe HBO themselves take a while to get DVDs out, the BBC are usually pretty quick.

This exciting stuff indeed. So whats your rating, do you give it 4-5 stars. because I always Buy movies which they have 4.5 and over. :)

I'd give it 5 for the mini-series alone, I love Band of Brothers... probably because I have a keen interest in WW2. Anyway, the extras just make it better, so if I could, a definite 6. But keeping it strict - 5/5 for sure.

Well I need to make a quick visit to Brent Cross shoppin centre, they have every DVD (OLD +NEW), I hop with the sale, the prices are between £5-£11 for the old DVDs O therwise I can buy it from SundayMarket for £3.

ooo, id give BoB 10 outta 10 anyday!, It was to way to good to be a sieres, it was almost likey to be in the cinima :)

BoB was mediocre, Sword of Honour is much better.

the back isnt suposed to open, but if you force it enough it will

you sure? that's just stupid...if it's not supposed to be opened then why make it look like it's supposed to? that's just dumb(especially without any warnings)...btw I didn't force it any, it open just as easy as the front, unfortunately it doesn't close as easily(not at all :P) anyways I'm taking the shit back to the store and get a new one....just annoying. :| grrrr

I got the normal DVD set last christmas and i love it... much better watching it with surround sound then with crappy normal stereo...

Damn men I´ve had it for 5 months now and I live in Portugal.

If i can remember the dvd set in the metal box costed like $80 at wal-mart!

There is suppose to be another series coming out. I think it is going to be about the war in the Pacific.

u gotta love the WWII propaganda  gotta feel bad for the german gamers..... :( no CoD or DoD for them

I watched BoB on TV and thought it was enjoyable, but the asking price I think is excessively high (like a lot of TV series). I'm going to wait till it eventually hits budget (as they always do).

Abom-Nation, as I promised you.

I went today morning and I just came 15 min ago. I looked up the prices for BOB in Both HMV and LOOK shops. 50% sale and the old prices in HMV was £15 now its only £7.98, while LOOK was £20 and now its only £10. I did not buy it unfourtunalty. I had to buy some nice Clothes. Any way I would buy it other time. Thanks

BoB kicked ass.
In Canada(Above the U.S.)
This TV Station called Global showed one episode every sunday.
