lol I posted something then BOOM banned and kicked instalty, made me jump - I take it tubgirllinks arent allowed :X

Errm, guess you don't need to do a topic for this. You can always speak with operator who banned you, in irc.
 
This is not the place to get help, contact the Op via PM or IRC;.

Plus, you know the rules, no links of that type, on the forum too.

No, these links aren't allowed. Personally I don't mind them but there are very weak people around thus everyone has to be catered for. Don't take it too personally though, you may remember a staff member called "Kuros", one who I had a lot of time and respect for. Well he accidently ( I say accidently cause it was, but I shant go into it here ) posted it in the channel and had his ops removed forever by quakenet staff.

He later left the hl2.net team.

Just to add, as you may already have noticed, azz0r's been banned. He's had past offences, and this was his last.

I can't say I'm that bothered but it's a bit harsh giving him a pernament ban for ******* links, everyone knows what ******* is and if they don't then there going to find out one day lol, personally I found ******* while trying to find out if tubcat had any sister sites.

Well he's done plenty to annoy people while he's been here, and been warned more than once, so it was only a matter of time before he got banned, he knew the rules so only got himself to blame. Can't say as I miss his none constructive whining ;)

The only problem with stalker threads now are they will get locked for a different reason...

BTW if you configure the pre-Alpha right it looks absolutely sweet and still runs at around 60-120 fps even with all that detail and the AI switched on and 6xAA and 8xAF @ 1024x768. That game is just going to own when it comes out.

Personally I don't think the Stalker alpha is all that bad, it's very small and doesn't reveal anything about the game except that it looked gorgeous a year and a half ago (possibly more) and runs faster than U2.

It's not like the HL2 alpha that had a whole shit load of content, infact it's a 3rd of the Doom3 alpha. I agree we shouldn't go posting links and spoilers but for something like the Stalker pre-alpha I don't think there's any harm in discussing it from a technicle point of view at least.

Too bad there's no dynamic lighting, shadows, physics, ragdoll, shaders, etc to bog the FPS down in the pre-alpha.. that's no way to judge how the final product will run :)
 
well azz0r really did live up to his name at times.. can't say i'll miss him.. whatever, he deserved it.. anyone with a half a brain knows *******/goatse and making crude comments doesn't sit well with mods and admins..

"i didn't know" is the kind of excuse ignorant pple use.. anyway, another azz banned, good riddence :)

normally in software this early in production it doesn't even work never mind give you frame rates over 60 whith alot of detail. There's only one or two shaders in the pre-alpha (e.g the sun) , but rendering all that foliage with full FSAA and AF whith a huge landscape in the background is pretty dam good for a engine of this age.

If the final runs at half the speed it will still be playable whith no AA.
