Banner sigs?

I was just wondering while browsing hl2world why doesn't hl2.net always allow image tags to allow for such things as banner sigs

For example

Centurion777's signature (from hl2world)

I think it would add more customizability to our forums. Maybe it's a bad idea but this is the feedback section so I am just stating a simple idea.

It has been asked for about a million times before.

We say: no

They are impossible to enforce/moderate
They make the place look ugly
They waste bandwidth and slow up the forum
They don't have any significant benefits
They take the focus away from discussion
They get in the way of everything
They can be exploited for malicious purposes
They would require messing around with the DB
They have been rejected every time so far
They are banned.

Please, at least look on the first page of the current forum before you post. This has been discussed already.

As well as everything that bliink has mentioned, you'll find that most people on the forums would prefer us to not have image signatures.
