Barney has disappeared

In "Follow Freeman" I have disabled all three generators and have proceeded to the "Exit" area (signs saying EXIT over the doorway) but there is a combine type door there and no way through. I have a feeling Barney is s'posed to use his CP security status to unlock the door but he disappeared at the start of this level and I haven't seen him since?

Any clues please? :thumbs:
