Nice work though, looks like you put a lot of time and effort into the map. Makes me want to buy Battlefield 1942, instead of play the demos :P

And that map looks great. I've not played bf1942, though. Did you model the cranes? The last shot is the most impressive.

Oops, sorry :angel: I was thinking this should go in the "Custom Map Forum," but then I realized that those were HL2 mod maps.

What do you mean :rolling: I'm not one of those guys who posts "in be4ore clothes" in all the topics to try to raise their post count, I put "In before move" just for fun this time (and by mistake :P) And I have no problem that he started a new thread :cool:
 
No, they were included in the Road to Rome expansion. The ship you see is almost totally modified. And yes, Pendragon, it is huge. There is also a huge ocean with a Carrier to the south. ;)

I just read over at fpscentral that THIS GUY DID NOT MAKE THIS MAP. He submitted it over there also trying to pass it off as his own.

Last night, we made a news post about a map that was stolen from another mapper. We, at FPSCentral, did not know at the time that the map "Corsica" was stolen. Since then, we have corrected the situation. The creator of this map is Schwebepanzer and it is not his first map. We now have his original map up and ready for everyone to download. The readme is in German and below is a snippet of the translation from Babelfish.

So much for him stopping like he promised. This guy has serious mental problems. Clearly ****ed in the head.
 
what do people honestly gain by doing this?

i'd understand a little better if he was getting money out of it or something.

but to just slap your name on something your just gonna go around and distribute for free doesn't seem like there's any reason to put in the effort.
 
I'm surprised so many people are missing out on the BF action... but that map does look very impressive, I'm tired of seeing the same crappy newbie maps coming out, this is definately a welcome change :). Nice work

Edit: Nevermind, just another newbie map guy who gets his ego trip in desperate and pathetic ways
