Battlefield 2: Special Forces Footage

That looks incredibly fun, I can't wait to play. I know some people are going to bitch about how all it adds is night maps and a zipline... but that in itself is extremely cool. And anyway, it's only a ruddy expansion pack... name ONE decent expansion pack...!

I wasn't all that impressed with the news from the game. Personally, It would have to do ALOT for me to buy it..I'm not a buying game kind of guy since I have not alot of money :( Hell, BF2 caught me really well, lucky for it.

Watched the video. The only great thing about this game I guess would be the more infantry. But I don't have much of a problem with armor now. Granted, AT rockets could do a bit more damage...5 shots to kill a tank *sigh*

BTW Was there a problem with the sound in this video or was that really 'music'?

it was music. I kinda liked it. Coulda been refined alot more, different sound effects in some places of the song, but all in all, I enjoyed the tune...*I think...rewatches video*Yeah, I am right.

And a little less emphasis on the LOOP OF THE SONG...most techno is longer in repeating :(
 
I would've much rather had the actual ingame audio than that techno crap. Don't get me wrong...there can be some good techno...but this definitely isn't it.

5 AT rockets to kill a tank? You can kill with less than that when you hit the tracks. Like 3 rockets can get a tank blown up or in the red.
 
i thought that they should have put the zip line and tear gas in bf2

Also the zip wire looks indecently fun. In maps like Karkhad I doubt I'd ever visit the floor again... I'll be zinging across the rooftops like spiderman.

Actually, a whole server of people doing that could be pretty shit.
 
Very cool. I especially like the zip lines and the grapling rope. Can't wait for it when it comes out this fall.

Do we know what classes get what in terms of equipment?
 
YES, SMALLER MAPS.

I hate a lot of maps right now for being too big and hard to navigate: Kubra Dam, Daqing oilfields, Clean Sweep. If they all play a bit more like Strike at karkand or Sharqi Peninsula (more infantry, more focused fights rather than spread out all over the place)

Oh yeah, was the guy, we were watching in FPP, the only good(?) player around there? The other people there weren't able to hit him ;)

cool video. i wouldn't even call that music though, i could make the same 'song' by beating a garbage can with a steel pipe

He was inviincible. Every time he got hit, he lost meerly 1 bar of health.
 
The wire thingy looks really bad when he fires it- goes instantly to the spot (im guessing they would have to actually make it a physical object like the grenades in the nade launcher to get it to look better) but as it is, like a bullet from a gun, you can probably kill with it, no?
 
this would be more suited to new maps and smaller ones too for a more counterstrike with vehicles feel
nighttime warfare though could be amazing
remember all that night vision gulf war footage
 
I'm sorta disappointed with this to some extent. I was hoping they would add more features than displayed in the video, but what was shown looks great.
