Battlefield Bad Company 2 "Vietnam"!

thought this thread was going to have new info, but i guess it's needed anyway. unless there was already a vietnam thread when this was announced... ? whatever

I doubt there will be jets. They'll probably just fly around for visual effects like in BC2.

Also where have you been, this was showed at E3 :P
 
I know its silly, but I hope they have the in-flight chopper music like in Battlefield: Vietnam back in the day.
 
Agreed, one of the things I remember best from the original Vietnam game was the music that could be played in the vehicles. Love it.

I'll never understand why every Battlefield has to hope around to 400 different eras through expansions and mods.

But I guess this has some potential assuming they FIX THE DAMN BUGS. However, if wars had soundtracks, Vietname would have the best soundtrack
 
$15 for vietnam? Awesome! I was expecting to pay at least £20 for it. Does this mean it's not a full expansion, rather a small collection of maps, weapons and vehicles?
 
i think it's just a small collection of maps with new vehicles and weapons, or at least i hope/expect the latter two to be new. i reckon the maps will just be things that are basically revamped laguna presa and the ilk, but i hope not.

i really really hope they make some more city/industrial maps with more buildings that simply aren't huts and bunkers dotted about. if there is one direction i do want them to take from BF2, it's making a map that has the aesthetic and cramped, street-fighting style of karkand or somesuch. the city of hue would be a great environment. i am going to be pretty pissed if it IS just revamped jungle maps from BC2.

sadly, the M60 was also the support weapon of choice for the US army during the vietnam war so err.... i hope they address that and give it one hell of a nerf.

4 maps... If its more than 10 bucks I won't even think about getting this.
 
I'd love to see an Armored Fury-esque expansion for BC2. Something focusing on tight urban combat such as a sprawling downtown sector with Frostbite destruction would be awesome.

I have so much trouble getting into servers now. Wish I could get back into the game.
 
Ah, just in time. Yesterday I finished unlocking every single weapon and gadget in the game. Looking forward to more BC2.
