Battlefield Island

Hashima Island (端島; meaning "Border Island"), commonly called Gunkanjima (軍艦島; meaning "Battleship Island") is one among 505 uninhabited islands in the Nagasaki Prefecture about 15 kilometers from Nagasaki itself. The island was populated from 1887 to 1974 as a coal mining facility. The island's most notable features are the abandoned concrete buildings and the sea wall surrounding it.

that would make one awesome multiplayer map ..I wonder why no one has used this as a local (killer 7 did but I mean MP) it seems a natural ..it'd make for a great Day of Defeat map

it's an abondoned city on an abondoned island ..the city is the island, the island is the city ..seems like a natural setting for a video game imho

Likewise. It always gives me chills, though, when I see it. Really starts to creep me out after a couple minutes of looking at the pictures, because I start to "see" things....
