my friend picked it up at best buy today (for xbox, unfortunatly), as it was on the shelves early for some reason. i played for awhile with him, and it is a shitload of fun. im definatly going to buy this for pc. it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling knowing lucasarts doesnt have to **** everything they touch up.
 
You can't believe how fun it's to hear that, I'm very anxious for this game but I was afraid it was crap :D
 
its in stores early?? wow. and i cursed some guy off that sent me a PM asking if i wanted to play SW:B. WHOOPS! i thought he was messing with me.
 
I've heard some good things about it, I also heard that it was better on the consoles than on PC though :( . Thats what all the reviews say anyway.
 
woah! i saw a server that had a maximum of 24 players. i thought it was 16max for consoles and 32 max for PC

We plan to support at least 16 human players over the Internet for the PS2 and Xbox versions, possibly more with dedicated server support. For the PC, we plan to support at least 32 human players over the Internet. For LAN games, we plan to support 32 players for the PS2 and Xbox versions, and 64 for the PC version. Of course, the total number of players for any single game will vary with network conditions and hardware performance.

im sure it will be possible to have more than 32 on a strong server. 32 seems a bit small... or maybe not, the maps arent huge.

So on the xbox, you played in a 24 person server?

no, he hadnt set up his xbox live account. ive never played it online, just against the "samrt" bots. those arent my pictures, someone from the bf forums posted those.

Oh ok. But you can obvisouly see on the picture that is says a max 24 person server. This would mean that PC would support more.
 
pc supports 64 person LAN matches and 32 person internet
atleast i think so...

xbox = 24 ps2 = 16 pc =32

it should be very possible, if not there will definatly be mods for it. the game doesnt seem that demanding, so id say that there may even be options for going above 32, like cs source.
 
Meh I was gonna get this one but I heard it sucked and ign only gave it a 7.4 i believe, and said it wont last long at all I may get it for my xbox tho so i can actually use my live service.

ign spent the whole time review AI.. which is about as stupid as giving bf42 a 7.5 for its shitty AI.

Well it will surly gather a crowd (its Star Wars after all), but 32 players is just... weak. After playing JO I wont settle for 32 players in an online game unless its got really small maps (CS style, BF1942 city maps, etc). How are Battlefront maps?
 
Not getting this one. Never was a big Sarwars fan after all.
 
I've never heard of this game... what's it about? got any pics?

Same here, I'm a big Star Wars and Battlefield fan, it could be the greatest game of all time for me :)

Got to buy the DVD set as well, and have a SW themed weekend hehe.
 
i tried the ps2 version just now and wasnt thrilled, i dont like playing that sort of game with a controller. id probably like the pc version.

For the people who dont know...its basicly star wars in battlefield :p

from the vidz it looks mighty awsome, also...I heard there was gonna be a demo soon! :D
 
im getting really bad FPS in this. even at 1024x768 with view distance at half im pulling about 30-40fps. this is on an athlon 64 3200+ with a radeon9700pro. no AF and no AA. vsync off. bleh

I haven't payed attention to Lucasarts Alot since JO (prolly cause thats about when I started playing Half-Life) but I recall them being good about thier demos for some reason. Demo mebby tommaro?
