BBC not to show 24

I knew the BBC & Fox have had a few disagreements about how BBC transmit but it looks like the BBC have pulled completly out and they also claim that it's due to low viewing figures in the U.S
I hope some other network picks it up or else I'll get it off Kazaa Lite.

Well fancy that.....i got new scientist yesterday and a sky + leaflet fell out. I looked at the back of it and it showed an example screen of the thing

"24 Channel 4"

I thought haha stupid sky, but perhaps they know something we dont...

Bleeh, atleast you get to see it... the tv channel that has the rights to 24 in Finland hasn't got any plans to show it in the comming 6 months?

how do i know this?

My dad works at a rival tv channel as director of marketing...

If I'm correct the episodes are an hour long now due to it being sponsered by the ford newamericanpickcup.
So will sky have adverts or do the same?

Ummm... I don't know about how they air 24 in the UK, but it's always been an hour long here in the US....


btw, how many of you guys live in the UK?

I know nothing about sky, but only the first episode of season 3 was different from normal. It had a long ford ad, and the show was the "full" hour without commercial breaks. All the shows after that first one are regular and commercial-filled.

It's about 45 minutes long for us here, because the BBC doesn't have adverts. If we get it on another network though, it'll definitely be an hour.

A great deal of us are actually British here. There's a staff majority of them, plus a lot of forumites are too. We're taking over

Exactly, dam. I watched both seasons 1 and 2 And I am waiting for 3. I am very sad.

One way to watch it Buy the DVD after it releases or get sky channels which I cannot afford to get here in the UK. ;(

I was a big fan of seasons 1 and 2... but 3 doesn't do it for me... It's just the same story, but with more extreme scenarios....

Then again maybe i'll get into them again, cause I thought the same at the start of season 2.

(p.s I am downloading them... it's hardley illegal when compared to games or movies so pls don't bash me)
