"I like this handle here, thats so you can attach a chain and use it as a BOAT ANCHOR!!!"

is that the parody of the mac commercials? the white background etc?

edit: yeah, it is :) I have this on my comp, I love it. "Mac killed my inner child."

ok, i hate macs so much ive never used one.... can someone tell me if all thats is accutaly true?

Please say its true Mr :)

I have the misfortune to work with Macs, because the company directors luuve their shiny overpriced Laptops as much as they love their shiny overpriced German Automobiles:dozey:.

The great problem with Macs is the inflexibility of the operating system, You have to bend to it, as opposed to it bending to you, which can be highly frustrating. Also when a program does crash, you generally have to reboot in order get out of it (even with OSX). Which is all a bit windows 98 for my liking.

On the positive side though, using macs disciplines you into using keyboard shortcuts much more, which is a much more productive way to work. Also certainly with most graphic applications (photoshop etc) they are much faster than PCs. In short if your a graphic designer, or similar (like me), than a mac is a good platform.

lol this thread is priceless, I've had the serious misfortune of having to use Mac's from time to time and this just makes me laugh so much, classic, also love those pics crabcakes hahaha

heh thats an old one, I bet a Mac user told you that ;)

It used to be true years ago when the PC didn't have the DTP tools and decent packages, back then there really was no alternative, use a Mac for digital art or do it without a computer. But since then even the Amiga passed the Mac for that type of work, quickly being replaced by the PC systems and thats how its remained since. I've used all the systems so I know the differences and I wouldn't settle for a Mac, sure they look great, I've nothing against the appearance of them cause they do look really nice on the desk, and in work for clients a nice looking Mac in an image goes down better with them than a ugly looking PC, but a computer isn't just its appearance its how it works and what it can run, the clients don't know any better, they think a pretty computer must be the best, hey their paying for the work so I don't care :D. Mac's just suck for anything serious is all ;(

But I will say that my iPod is an overpriced hunk of plastic and metal. I heard the batteries fail after 18 months. pfft.

I use a G5 at work and a 3Ghz PC at home. I run photoshop, illustrator and Indesign on both, and the G5 easily outstrips the PC for Performance with all 3 packages. No one is telling me dude.

I must be the only one here that likes Macs, with linux as the OS of course. :)

Then you represent about .01% of the 5% of people who use Macs Thenerdguy. :dork:
Macs wouldn't bother me nearly as much if they didn't have such problems with cross-OS compatability. Nearly every experience I've had with them has resulted in lost work or data due to problems between the different systems.
