Yes, that is in fact real life. The thing that made it horrible to me, was the fact that it tried to get up, and the lions just kept eating. I would have had no problem if it was a dead, non moving animal.

and i've seen this many times in real life. anyone have a cat? well my cat often caught those small reptiles who lie under the sun (what are they called?). he crushed their bones while playing, often he'd bite their lower body off an leave the upper half or just mangle them a bit and leave them. of course as the merciful soul i am, i cut their head off quickly with a knife to spare them the agony of a slow and painful death. the same was true when he caught mice...that cat was a scrupulous asshole. i mean...if you catch something at least eat it, not ****ing play with them, crush their bones and leave it there.

Kind of scary how animals have no concept of mercy or any "complex" feelings. All they do is just act on impulse, no real thought process.
