I was answering someone else's question. But speaking of 3DMark 03, the HL2 benchmark will be something like that but it will look like Half-Life 2 and it will test how your system can run Half-Life 2 in terms of frame rates per second. Benchmarks are done in real time and it's like someone is playing the game for you, so it's in-game and in-engine.

Anyway, have you ever recorded a demo of gameplay (like in CS) and then watched it (maybe using geekplay).
Thats basicly what it will be like. Or watching the bink videos, yet ingame.
