Best ATI PCI card (NOT AGP or PCI-E)

I am deciding to get a new graphics card for HL2 since its soooo close (PLEASE GOS PLEASE), but thing is i have a crappy motherboard that has no AGP slots and NO PCI-E slots only 2 PCi slots so waht i need to know is what is the best ATI card to get for a pci slot not PCI-E my price budget is about £150-250.

What is your current graphics card? And the rest of your system specs?

I'm a bit rusty on conversions, but you should be able to buy a decent motherboard with an AGP slot and a good AGP card.

forgotten if your mobo doesn't support agp there is a good chance your computer simply isn't good enough to play hl2 regardless of your video card. Might want to post your specs at least.

The 9600SE is probably the fastest Radeon on a PCI bus. They're a little rare though.

Scratch that. Actually, I think it's the 9100 (128-bit). The 9200 and 9250 is actually slower.

Yeah, I'd just upgrade your mobo, but that might screw you over, as you'd probably have to get a new CPU too. ><

If you can't upgrade the mobo, get a Radeon 9100.
