.. your mother?

My Mum's birthday is coming up soon and I need to think of something to buy. She has a twin sister too, so if it's something that comes in pairs even better.

Last year I bought my mum a mobile phone for a hundred quid, which someone stole off her 2 weeks later and to top that all she gave me for my birthday last time was a twenty pound note.

Basically I've got a budget of £15 - 25 for her and the same for her sister and I wanna get something good.

Suggestions?

I always make my mum something :)

Being a creative sort herself, she rather likes it :D

I won't be at home for her birthday next year ;( and she'll be 60 ;(

Shame.

ok I didnt buy it but the best birthday present I've ever received came 3 days early in 2003: my son

but I wouldnt advise this unless you have a really good relationship with your father and can influence him :E

get her flowers ...moms love flowers ..or better yet take her out to dinner ...just you and her

get her a bottle of whiskey, her and the sister can share it

If I could buy her something, the one thing she'd want was a Colorado Bulldog.

I wrote my mom a poem for her Birthday...

Aww...

dont get an animal as a present ...so many pets are destroyed every year because the novelty wears out pretty fast ..pets are a huge responsibility (good luck ever taking a vacation again) and usually make poor gifts ...not saying that this will be YOUR expierence

oh and dogs with loose skin like the bulldog, sher-pei, etc often have problem skin because of the folds of the skin tend to be bacteria traps ...trust me it's not fun to deal with irritated skin ...currently I have to bathe my dog twice a week, give him 6 pills a day, apply a conditioner to his skin and put in ear drops on a daily basis ...and it gets to be too trying at times ...and I've always loved dogs

if thats to me, a Colorado Bulldog is also an alcoholic drink. My mother drinks every night with her new husband. She loves Colorado Bulldogs...It's like milk and rum or something, I don't remember. They can taste like Chocolate milk if done right! :D

Yeh being creative or making sumthing is always nice.
You could always get sum sort of jewellery depending on what she likes, its always been a winner with my mum! Perhaps sumthing similar or matching for your mums sister too.
Or you could just get sumthing tht relates to an interest they both share or sumthing that they can do together thts fun n to celebrate their birthday!

If appropriate, I like to get Mom something funny. It's great to be able to give someone a chuckle..

I gave my sister a card...

It said "Happy Birthday, Brother" with a 12 badge on it, you open it and there is an asian man with downsyndrome who wet himself while another is giving the peace sign with his fingers behind him.

(We just printed hte pitcure and stuck it in the card. Best present ever.)

your sister is your mom :O

Danimal: No, I wasn't talking about my mum =/
