I preordered Doom III at Best Buy a few days ago in response to the in-store advertisement that it would be released at 10:30PM Monday, August 2nd. Well I just went to the store, and I said, "Ohh, I am here about the preordered computer game." The teenage worker replies, "Sorry, were closed for this evening." Which was totally tangential to what I had asked, and got me confused and pissed off. So I said, "No, I bought this preorder-" And the manager cuts me off, "Sir, were closed!" I then replied, "Hey, hold on a second, I bought this preorder predicated on its release tonight just as your ad said, what is this?" The manager then said, "Well if you would have looked at the sign it said the Westfield store on the bottom." That was total crap! I wanted to punch the guy across the face for being a glib schmuck about my concerns. I said "Ohh, thats brilliant" and left, I muttered some obscenities and drove home ready to boycott Best Buy forever. Please join me.

Yeah. The game gets released the 3rd and Best Buy won't let me pick it up till the 4th. Way to go Best Buy.
