best card?

whats the best graphics card for this game. from what i knwo this game takes more to run then hl2 so if thats the case then this card should be able to handle the other. not over 300 bucks tho

9800XT is probably a tad better than the 6600GT though. See if you can get a 6800GT under 300 bucks though, that'd be your best bet.

You can find more benchmarks yourself. It can usually be had for cheaper and I can use higher settings on my 6600gt compared to my friend with a 9800xt.

Yeah lesson learnt, I started this thread over at Neowin asking about upgrading cards and this guy wrote "tempted to upgrade but all i play is bf2 and css and the card does fine in them games, used to have a 6600gt and was no better than my 9800pro".

I guess you don't believe everything people write on the net...hehhe.

pci express, i would like the 6800 gt that thats a tad more than i would like to spend. is the 6600 gt gonna work with bf2 or no? anyone got one and play bf2?

I have a 6600GT, and I can play BF2 at 1280*1024 with everything max except dynamic shadows/lighting turned off, 75% view distance.
