This thread's title is misleading. The T2 explosion wasn't CGI at all... they used older techniques. Its proof that the makers of T2 were masters of their time... that movie STILL looks good even to this day.

yeah, T3 ending was pretty powerful, especially watching the nukes come up at the farms and the scene that shows all the rockets flying from sub-orbital space....
