Best covers you've ever heard?

Would you agree with me if I said that Limbizkit's version of Behind Blue Eyes is better? Probably not since you are a huge fan of "The Who." But it's definitely one of the more decent covers of a famous song out there.

I remember this Johnny Cash cover of this NIN song was pretty good, "Hurt" I think.
EDIT: Sevendust did a fantastic cover of this song, in their own way.

Wut?

I like them a lot, but I wouldn't call myself a "huge fan", where did you get that from? But yeah, Who's version kicks ass.

Agreed.

I'm quite fond of Alkaline Trio's cover of Rooftops by Hot Water Music. I can't think of much else right now, which is odd. :/

Also 'Turning Japanese' covered by Incubus.

'Come to Daddy' covered by The Dilliginger Escape Plan is also decent, if a bit muddy though.

Oh and obviously http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzX4YPRkhk0

FFS I can't just link to a youtube video, even if I embed the link into a word? That's so stupid. I don't want to go looking like a huge pretentious cock by taking up all this space with what is supposed to be a subtle link.

Damn you Munro.

Meat Puppets cover of Everybody Hurts is amazing

And I love the Mars Volta's cover of "Birthday" by the Sugarcubes and "Back Up Against the Wall" by the Circle Jerks.

Jonathan Coulton - We are the Champions (Queen)

Foo Fighters - Have a Cigar (Pink Floyd)

U2 - Dancing Queen (ABBA)

originally I had links to the songs but seeqpod is being gay and would much rather link my play list than the songs.

Placebo: Running up that hill(Kate bush)

Deftones: Simpleman(Lynyrd Skynyrd)

Jos? Gonzales: Heartbeats(The knife)

Marylin Manson: Tainted love(Soft cell)

Marilyn Manson: Sweet dreams(Eurythmics)

Richard Cheese: People=Shit(Slipknot)

Johnathan Coulton- Baby Got Back

Much better than the original.

Whoa, I did not know I'd ever come across anyone here ever mentioning Circle Jerks.

What a band.

dude of course. I have a huge spot in my heart for the entire punk era, and the Circle Jerks are no exception.
