Best mouse for Half-Life 2 - Copperhead or G5?

I'd choose Razer Copperhead for the look and for the gaming performances.

not as high dpi that youre looking for i see, but both my brother and i have the nyko airflo mouse, and we love it. cheap too. love the internal fans that cool your hand, they work very well.

I own one too. Except that after two months, I couldn't put the fan on and use it as a high precision mouse. The laser got stucked time to time when I started the fan.

Logitech MX510 F.T.W! I myself consider it being the best because I like "high profile" mice. If you want a flat one, try Razer Diamondback.

jesus those mice are hardcore. All this dpi and response time business, i gotta get me a new one.

I have a Razer Diamondback and I must say I love it :)

Go with what your hands prefer!

Logitech FTW
MX510 or the G5

Personally, if it isn't comfortable it isn't good.

I can't stand the way the Razor's feel. I much prefer the "made to fit" Logitechs personally.

Well Logitech does have better ergonomics and also I think that Logitech is more reliable. That being said, I think Razer mice are innovative and though they look like toys they do have that cool 'with this mouse I can really shoot 'em up' look and feel. Personally, my biggest issues or doubts with Razer is the ergonomics: the neutrality of the mouse and the small size. Apparently though, Copperhead's ergonomics are supposed to be better. The sidebutton issue has been solved and the mouse a bit bigger than DB so that it fits good under the palm. Still, it is a small mouse but the cool factor is there.

I think I will do the following. I will go to a store and test Diamondback. If it feels OK I will buy Copperhead (which has better ergonomics). If it feels way too small I will buy Logitech G5.

BTW: if I buy Copperhead I will need a mouse for basic 'other stuff' use such as netsurfing, Photoshop et cetera. For that purpose, I will buy either G7, G5 or MX1000. I know it'll be a pricey basic use mouse but I really feel that the ergonomics of the better models of Logitech is so good that it's worth it. I know G-series mice are for gaming and they haven't got the second side button (which I don't even need) but still, you can't deny the fact that the ergonomics are superb.

the mx518 and logitechs felt real clunky to me....I ended up going with a razer viper and haven't looked back.
Really it comes down to a matter of personal preference.
