Those Rosie Big Daddies with the rivet guns are much easier imo. I just can't seem to get the timing of that "bullet time" like charging attack down like I should that those melee Big Daddy bouncers use.
I get clobbered every time unless there's a second level below I can jump off to avoid the attack. Those electric trip wire rounds probably would work well, but what's another way to break that attack?

I usually use exploding/electric shotgun and just keep sidestepping while I reload, they always miss.

If I don't feel like killing them quickly, I'll just use every gun (except the freeze, in this case I use fire), and just unload on them while sidestepping and shooting from around corners. They almost never hit unless there is a wall behind me, they charge into that, stop, then smash me.

Make sure there's room behind you for them to run past, and side step. If, for example, you're in front of a wall and you try to side step their charge, they'll stop when they hit the wall, and get ya. Tripwires and remote grenades make very quick work of the charging Big Daddies, so much so that they're not much of a challenge after a while. Also, the electric gel (with the reducing nozzle and electric eel plasmid) will allow you to kill them in one, albeit long, shot. I'd save this attack for when your ass is on the line though, as it's kind of a cheap kill.

Electric bolts.

Place 5-7 of them in a row and taunt the big daddy into moving into them.

dump 6 gas cylinders on the floor in their path. one bullet to gas cylinder from a safe distance. boohoo. Wake up mr. bubbles.

LOL, I just found a really easy way to kill one in Eupheasteus (I doubt that's how to spell it. You know? Ryan Industries.)

Stand inside a completely railed area and you can simply blast at him with any weapon you like, as he cannot get to you. More of a bug exploit than a strategy though. A little disappointing as Big Daddy could surely break that little hand-rail out of the floor and beat the hero across the backside with it.

All the other strategies sound good too. I especially like using tripwires, but regardless how many I place, it's usually not enough to finish them.

God damn it, I miss fighting Big Daddies... I might just reinstall the game some time tomorrow.

Electric shotgun + RPG for me. If you can, try and fight them right by a respawn point, that way it doesn't matter if you are killed :D
