Bethesda opens official Fallout 3 forums

Although I'm a huge fallout fan I'm not going to sign up on those forums. In fact I want as little to do with the fallout community as possible. I don't want my fallout memories tainted by forum trolls arguing if the bozar is better than the laser gatling or whatever.

Bethesda better not make a oblivion clone set in the fallout universe. And they better keep the GURPS system.
 
Erm, define announcement.. Bethesda stated it will be working on Fallout 3 in July 20.. But I'm guessing you might mean more like release date and shiet?:)

they're going to start and finish production of fallout in one day? July 20th 2007? ;)


they havent officially announced the game, what platforms, what type of game etc

In my eyes, that's an official announcement, particulary the "announced" "develop" "Publish" "fallout 3" part.:>
 
yes I realise that however that's not an official release about the game ..it just says they're working on it ..official announcements usually involves game details not just that they're working on it
 
how am I incorrect? Operation flashpoint 2 was officially announced today even though codemasters have put out press releases that they were working on it ...here's a bunch of press releases from 2003, 2005, 2006 ..does that mean that today's official announcement isnt official?

I was wondering how the Fallout loyalists around here would feel about this. I figured they would at least want to join the forums when the real details start coming out about it. Right now it is pretty futile to join them because the discussions will be all speculation and silly arguments like the one we just saw here! :laugh:

Hehe, NMA would love to have you aboard. We dump trolls and morons outside for pigrats to munch on.

Anyways, Fallout loyalists are concerned, me included.
 
Personally I think the game will be lauded for its greatness by everyone.

Except for FO fans, who will be left with a shallow shell of the series they love.
 
I've played 1&2 and tactics and they are great games. Fallout 3 could be crap but hey it's better than nothing.

See now you twisted it. I said it's better than nothing as in a bench is better than no bench. You changed it to an action occurring to a person which is totally different.

"Oh noes it won't be like the originals." Yeah no kidding who would have thought a different dev team would have different ideas/goals to the originals. You don't like the end product that's fine go around bashing it all you want I won't stop you.

That said, I don't particularly care either way until they release it. Finished product evaluate, that's my motto.
 
Are they shipping Fallout 3 to those countries? :P
 
In those countries real life is pretty much like Fallout, so they don't want it.
