BF2 Crashes On Join Server...

Ah, sweet Jesus D:

I got my new pc running on Saturday and decided to install BF2 last night. It ran fine but when I found a server a clicked "Join Server", the game just exits with no error message to desktop.

It does the same with patched 1.4 version (full) and the unpatched version so I'm presuming it's hardware.

Anyway my specs...

AM2 4200+
1GB DDR2 667mhz RAM
X1900GT 256mb

Any thoughts?

For some reason my PC was set to the year 15076 :S

I changed it to 2006 and BF2 loads-up fine now. Thanks anyway

I guess DICE will have to fix this in another patch, or else people will be yelling for their money back when that year comes.

Nah, if the timestamp is wrong on outgoing packets, shit gets ****ed up, thats why the millenium bug was going to screw up the internet, but it never happened.

BF2 on all high makes my video card overheat!

I have to have everything on high except AA and lighting/shadows on low just to play w/out random artifacts appearing, and then when I hit esc, BF2 crashes.
